FG Burnett Praised For Investment In Its People

Commercial property consultant, FG Burnett Ltd, has retained its Investors in People status after a glowing report by inspectors.
The company was praised for its efforts to make every staff member feel valued and for providing a focus on graduate development, allied to an impressive level of coaching and mentoring within the organisation.
Fourteen out of 36 staff in Aberdeen and Glasgow were interviewed by IIP which confirmed FGB had exceeded the standards required to retain the Investors in People Standard.
The IIP report stated: “Graduates and younger qualified surveyors are encouraged to engage with clients and take responsibility, with many opportunities being made available and resulting in high levels of respect amongst their peers.
“The ability of the business to be proactive in seeking new opportunities, as well as making the most of existing avenues, is hugely refreshing and is down to the drive and enthusiasm from the top.
“The efforts made to ensure everyone feels an important part of the team is impressive. There continues to be a focus on graduate development, with responsibility being given to graduates to interact with clients at an early stage.
“The levels of coaching/mentoring taking place are impressive – there is a real determination to gain input from others within FG Burnett in terms of ideas generation.”
The company has now adopted a number of recommendations made in the IIP report which will further improve the working environment and the level of services and expertise offered to clients.
FG Burnett managing director, Angus MacCuish, said: “We are very encouraged to have received a positive and complimentary report from Investors in People which underlines the value we place on our staff, who all contribute to the ongoing success and reputation of the business.
“The high quality of services we provide is reflected in the calibre of the people we employ and we will swiftly follow up the recommendations made by IIP to ensure we continue to attract the best and brightest in the commercial property world.”
