Business Rates Revaluation 2023 is just around the corner and a lot is changing.
All Rateable Values will be updated on 1 April 2023 based on rental levels at 1 April 2022. The one-year valuation date is a first and not only is this a shorter timeframe in which to undertake the valuation exercise it comes at a time of market instability with a lower level of transactional activity generally. The shorter timeframe and lack of evidence may lead to inaccurate rating assessments and this will coincide with significant changes to the appeal system. We recommend taking action now to avoid pitfalls and ensure your 2023 rating assessment is accurate and you pay no more than you should.
