FG Burnett has brought Ruthrieston West Church in Aberdeen to the market for sale.
Graeme Nisbet, Director and Head of Agency at FG Burnett comments "The property may appeal to property developers looking to convert it into residential accommodation. Alternatively, it could make an ideal new home for church groups or other organisations."
Ruthrieston West became surplus to requirements for the Church of Scotland, which has combined two congregations in the area. Craigiebuckler Church was retained and is now hosting services for the new, unified Springfield Church.
Graeme Nisbet further comments that "demand for other former churches in the Aberdeen area shows an appetite for such properties. Ruthrieston West is imposing and full of potential, its location in an affluent part of Aberdeen gives it extra appeal."
The late 19th Century building is listed, limiting the opportunities for any major external changes but there are myriad opportunities for internal works.
With an asking price of £495,000 exc. VAT, the Aberdeen based firm is expecting a high level of interest in the property.
