COSL, a global integrated oilfield services company providing drilling, geophysical, marine and decommissioning services, has opened a new regional office in Aberdeen, Scotland, amid a period of growth for the company.
The investment consolidates COSL’s continued investment in the north east of Scotland to ensure it maintains a key role in the Energy market supporting operators. COSL Drilling Europe was established in 2005, and has its head office located in Stavanger, Norway. Today COSL operates three modern drilling units in the North Sea and plans to deploy additional rigs and services from 2024 onwards. With a solid owner with stable ratings in China Oilfield Services Limited, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, ambitions are to strengthen its foothold in the North Sea. COSL is setting a new standard in the North Sea with its energy efficiency and is positioned to provide low carbon solutions to the offshore market and future 0-emissions operations.
Located within the attractive IQ Building in the heart of Aberdeen, the new offices provide a modern, spacious environment to accommodate COSL’s growing team. With plans to recruit in the UK over the short to medium term, the 6,500 sq.ft office features state-of-the-art technology, infrastructure and facilities which will drive the business’ expansion while supporting the team to continue delivering effectively for clients, in the UK and Europe.

The office space was secured on behalf of COSL by FG Burnett, a leading commercial property consultancy in the region.
